About Turmeric Powder
Powder is made of the ground roots of the plant. It is produced from pure turmeric rhizomes. Curcumin is the active ingredient in turmeric, and it has powerful biological properties.

Storage & Uses
Store ground or powdered turmeric in a cool, dark cupboard, away from direct heat or sunlight. Avoid window- sill spice racks. 2. Store the turmeric away from stoves, or any area that has high temperatures which will cause the spice to lose its flavor and strength.

Shelf-Life
Fresh turmeric will last 6-9 months in the freezer, but store the powder in a dark cupboard and it'll last you 3-4 years, maybe even a longer amount of time.

Storage Tips
Store the finished turmeric powder in a glass air-tight container, such as in a mason jar with tight-fitting lid. Keep the container in a dry, cool place – such as the pantry. When properly dried and stored, your homemade turmeric powder should last for over a year.

Storage Temperature
The powders so obtained were stored in different packaging materials and sealed air tight. The packets or the jars containing turmeric powder were then stored in two different environment viz., normal (room temperature) and refrigerated condition (7-8°C).
