About Coriander
It is also known as Chinese parsley, dhania or cilantro . All parts of the plant are edible, but the fresh leaves and the dried seeds (as a spice) are the parts most traditionally used in cooking.

Storage & uses
Take a zip-lock bag and place it on the top of the glass jar. Let the opening of the bag remain loose and keep the jar along with the cover in the refrigerator. You will need to change the water after every few days. Using this method, coriander can remain fresh up to two weeks.

Shelf-life
Properly stored, coriander seed will generally stay at best quality for about 3 to 4 years. To maximize the shelf life of coriander seed purchased in bulk, and to better retain flavor and potency, store in containers with tight-fitting lids.

Storage tips
Loosely cover the leaves with an upside-down plastic bag and pop it in the fridge. Storing cilantro this way will keep it fresh for as long as a month — just make sure to occasionally refresh the water in the jar. You can also use this same method for other leafy herbs like parsley and mint.

Storage temperature
The recommended optimum storage temperature is 32° – 40°F. Their leaves are delicate, you don't want to allow them to freeze, but keep them as cold as possible.
