About Green Cardamom
Cardamom is one of the oldest spices used in the world and originated along the Western ghats in South India. Also known as Elaichi, Green Cardamom has a strong, unique taste with an intense aromatic fragrance. It is perfect for flavouring range of curries, in confectionery & desserts, and rice preparations.

Benefits
Cardamom is used for build up of fat in the liver in people who drink little or no alcohol (nonalcoholic fatty liver disease or NAFLD), diabetes, and high cholesterol, but there is no good scientific evidence to support these uses. In foods, cardamom is used as a spice. It is also used in soaps, creams, and perfumes.

Storage Temperature
In terms of storage, sealed polythene containers and low temperature (5°C) was optimal for maintaining some degree of germinability of cardamom seeds during storage for approximately 15 days.
